NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

        Please take notice that a public hearing will be held at the Board of Appeals Meeting at the RED RIVER TOWN HALL on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 7:00 PM for the following:

Request by Mr. Jesse Pluess for a variance from Section 10.0221 D. that requires a minimum setback from a private road of 63 feet from the centerline or 30 feet from the edge of the described road or road easement, whichever is greater, to the developed private road to the East and the undeveloped private road to the South, a variance from Section 10.0307 E. that requires a minimum side yard setback of 10 feet to the North and a variance from Section 10.0307 E. that limits the height of the accessory structure to a maximum of 14 feet to the peak to allow for the construction of a 20’ x 22’ accessory structure on Parcel 31 018 1ASR 127 located at N9005 Debaker Lane. Said parcel is zoned Single Family Residential District – RS.

    Notice is hereby given that a majority of the Town Board and/or Plan Commission may be present at this meeting to gather information about a subject in which they may have future decision-making responsibilities.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

Notice of Voting Equipment Audit

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Wis. Stat. 7.08 and the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (52 U.S.C. 21081) the Town of Red River will conduct a voting system audit on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 8:00 AM at the Kewaunee County Administration Center – 810 Lincoln St., Kewaunee, WI  54216, which utilizes the Dominion Image Cast Evolution voting system.  The reporting unit and contests were randomly selected by the Wisconsin Elections Commission.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING – Absentee Voting to be Administered at Autumn Fields

Thursday, October 24, 2024

12:30 PM

Special Voting Deputies appointed by the Town of Red River will be administering absentee voting for the residents of this facility for the November 5, 2024 General Election at the above time and place.  Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may request to vote an absentee ballot.  A qualified elector is any US citizen who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election.  The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot.

Only observers from each of the two recognized political parties whose candidates for governor or president received the greatest number of votes in the municipality at the most recent general election may accompany the deputies to each facility where absentee voting will take place.  The observers may observe the process of absentee ballot distribution in the common areas of the home, facility or complex.  Each party wishing to have an observer present shall submit the name of the observer to the clerk or board of election commissioners no later than the close of business on the last business day prior to the visit.

Family members of residents may be present at the time of voting.

            Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 5.84(1), notice is hereby given that a public test of the ImageCast Evolution (ICE) which will tabulate optical scan ballots that will be used to canvas votes for the November 5, 2024 General Election will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Red River Town Hall.

            All members of the public interested in viewing this public test are urged to be present at the stated time and place.
